Customer Profile
Founded in 1958 and originating from the iconic Ken’s Steak House, Ken’s Foods has grown from a family-owned restaurant into a leading food manufacturer. Today, the company produces more than 400 products across its retail and food service portfolios, serving customers nationwide.
The Business Challenge
As Ken’s Foods continued to expand, its leadership team recognized that its existing systems were no longer able to support the scale and complexity of the business. Disconnected legacy applications created operational silos, limiting visibility and making it difficult to generate meaningful insights across the organization.
The Solution
After evaluating a number of systems, Ken’s Foods selected the fully integrated Syspro Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. “When we looked at the features, functionality, modules and capability that were brought to the table, as well as the interface our staff would be using, we felt that Syspro was the better fit,” says Art Sebastiano, Chief Information Officer at Ken’s Foods. “Quite simply, it was the purest food manufacturing product on the market.”
The Outcome
With Syspro ERP in place, Ken’s Foods gained a single, integrated view of its operations. Teams can now analyze data across the business to drive informed operational improvements and strategic decision-making, capabilities that were difficult to achieve with the company’s previous system.
As it is an integrated solution, Syspro allowed us to shift from just doing daily tasks to performing meaningful analytics so that we can measure our changes and see the results.

Built to Scale
Before implementing Syspro, Ken’s Foods relied on multiple siloed systems that were loosely connected and increasingly difficult to manage. The company needed a solution that could support current production volumes while also scaling with future growth.
“As it is an integrated solution, Syspro allowed us to shift from just “ doing daily tasks to performing meaningful analytics so that we can measure our changes and see the results,” Sebastiano says. “We can now do analysis around where and how information is being consumed, what the associated costs are, what improvements can be made, how to measure our changes – and then see the results.”
Looking Ahead
Syspro also provides a consistent, standardized user experience that helps new employees quickly become productive contributors, supporting continued growth without adding unnecessary operational complexity.
