Bradburys Cheese Enhances Customer Service and Stock Control with SYSPRO

Established in 1884, Bradburys Cheese has worked at the forefront of the cheese industry for more than 140 years. Today, it operates on a global scale, providing an extensive range of cheese products sourced from different countries. Bradburys’ state-of-the-art cutting and packing facilities in Buxton, UK, enable the company to deliver bespoke solutions for customers across retail, out of home, export, travel and manufacturing channels.

Bradburys sources 600 SKUs globally, collaborates with 150 suppliers and has a large stock holding of 250 cheeses. The products are cut, wrapped, packed and labelled at its specialized cutting and packing facilities. Within four years of exporting its first cheese, Bradburys was represented in 24 countries. In 2024, its sales peaked at £87 million.

The scale of the operation made a fully integrated ERP solution essential to growth and efficiency. Bradburys’ comprehensive SYSPRO solution covers every aspect of the business from manufacturing to distribution, accounts and lot traceability.

As a result, Bradburys now has greater visibility into what is being sold to customers in terms of product lines. With the previous system, the management team knew how much had been sold to a customer, but there was no breakdown into detail such as the specific products and volumes the customer had bought in a certain timeframe. The company is deriving significant benefits thanks to the greater quantity, depth and accuracy of information in its SYSPRO solution.

Bradburys engaged an external ERP consultancy firm to seek out and develop an appropriate ERP system. From a shortlist of six offerings, the consultancy and an in-house team selected SYSPRO.
