My husband recently decided to take a look at a new car after coming to the conclusion that the money he’d put out for repairs was better spent on a new car. The very next day we took a trip to the Toyota dealer and test drove a brand new Corolla Ascent. It was a very nice ride, but it didn’t quite “do it” [...]

Over the years I’ve helped hundreds of clients, but somehow I’ve managed to make it through the decades without ever comparing the ERP selection process to the yearly duty of choosing a perfect Christmas tree. This year, however, with the joyous season once again upon us, I find myself wondering if the rules for one might loosely apply to the other. It could be [...]

On the home front, we agonise over what to buy and spend hours trying to keep the dog from eating the tinsel. At work, we rack up stress points as we close out the year, wondering what reports to generate in [...]

When the subject of corporate data security comes up, the conversation usually turns to outside influencers such as hackers, malware, internal espionage and high-profile breaches. Those are issues that every company should protect against, but they are not the topic of my blog today. What I’d like to address are basic security measures that will protect your data (and your ERP investment) from the [...]

With technology constantly evolving, there may be times when you feel that you just can’t keep up. It’s at these times that you have to keep an open mind and be open to new possibilities. The saying you can’t teach an old dog new tricks cannot apply in this day and age. (more…)

The word “priceless” comes to mind, every time I think of a backup. It only takes a few minutes and can save you so much time and effort. It’s easy enough to setup a nightly backup of SQL and your server. If you only backup your SQL Database and your Syspro7Work, Data and Basesettings folders that is enough for us to get you back [...]
