Event Proceeds to Be Donated to Charity
COSTA MESA, Calif. - May 2, 2013 - SYSPRO, the leading global supplier of on-premise, cloud and mobile Business ERP Software for manufacturers and distributors, announced today that the company had co-sponsored a Charity Gala event which opened Orange County's BritWeek 2013, a production of the Orange County Chapter of the BABC (British American Business Council.)
SYSPRO was a co-sponsor of "Fifty Shades of Food, Glorious Food," held Friday, April 26, 2013, at the Hilton Hotel in Anaheim. The event featured the culinary talents of six leading Orange County chefs including Michael Rossi of The Ranch, Azmin Ghahreman of Sapphire, Kyung Carroll of the Mix Restaurant at the Hilton Anaheim Hotel, Andrew Sutton of Napa Rose, Sayed Moalemi of TusCA and Alfred Prasad of Tamarind of London. Proceeds from the night will benefit the BABC scholarship fund as well as the Pure Game Charity. The latter leverages the game of soccer to engage at-risk kids using the power of positive words and encouragement to grow their confidence and self-esteem. Pure Game believes the team work aspect of a sport like soccer can teach children how to build character values, ultimately giving them the ability to live a fulfilling and successful life.
A highlight of the evening was the BABC presentation of scholarships to two disadvantaged children. The two were also gifted with a trip to the United Kingdom.
The event also attracted the support of many dignitaries and celebrities, including Tom Tait, Mayor of Anaheim, along with his wife Julie, Andrew Lewis, British Vice Consul, Warren Barton, a leading Commentator for Fox Soccer Network and Kent French, a notable sports broadcaster and "voice of the Anaheim Ducks." French donated his time as master of ceremonies.
The BritWeek 2013 event featured live talent, including the young, up-and-coming pianist Evan Roth, and a performance from Michael Johns, a finalist on the popular TV show American Idol. Johns is currently working with David Foster, a Grammy Award-winning producer and composer.
SYSPRO USA President Joey Benadretti, a long-time member and Executive Vice-President of the BABC notes, "We are pleased to be a sponsor of the culinary event, the proceeds from which will go to enrich the lives of at-risk children. SYSPRO USA is a strong believer in being involved in the community in which the company is located and operates."
